1st Batch of Migrant Workers in Bahrain to be Relocated Before Ramadan

The Interior Ministry, Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the LMRA discussed the implementation of precautionary measures for migrant workers to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Interior Minister said that a group of companies would handle their workers, while illegal workers would be distributed among donated buildings or those suggested by the governorates.

The importance of cooperation between ministries and concerned authorities was highlighted, to create a record of labor accommodation areas and determine their capacities and sheltering priorities.

In this context, the Interior Minister asserted the importance of starting shifting and sheltering workers at the earliest after finalizing procedures and requirements through phases that the first one should end before Ramadan, taking into the consideration of the social distancing rules.
