SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the next generation of marine life theme parks and Yas Island’s latest mega-development being constructed by Miral, Abu Dhabi’s top curator of entertainment and leisure experiences, in collaboration with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has reported significant progress.
The marine-life park is currently 64 percent complete, and will include the world’s largest and most expansive marine aquarium as well as the new Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center and is slated to be open in 2022.
Recent major construction milestones include the completion of the primary steel erection and the near completion of the marine-life park’s envelope enclosure. In addition, the structure’s façade, as well as over 70 percent of the park’s acrylic panels, are now under construction.
Once completed, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will house the world’s largest and most expansive marine-life aquarium, with a capacity of 25 million liters of water and over 68,000 marine species, including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays, and sea turtles. The “Endless Vista,” an impressive 20-meter tall vertical window across multiple levels revealing magical aquatic scenes will present a focal view for visitors.
The Yas research and rescue center will be built adjacent to the theme park enriching guests’ knowledge of aquatic animals. It will integrate with SeaWorld’s ongoing efforts related to research, rescue, conservation, and education focusing on native Gulf and marine life ecosystems.

The “Endless Ocean” themed aquarium encapsulates the expanse and scale of the marine show for visitors and is one element featured within a unified “One Ocean” experience, connecting six distinct realms across the marine-life park. The “One Ocean” narrative will augment the park’s ability to imitate the natural habitats of various species, living in harmony as they would in the wild.

The design of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, which spans 183,000 square meters across five interior levels, relies on SeaWorld’s more than 55 years of experience in marine research, conservation, and animal welfare.
