Abu Dhabi-based Rafed, G42 Healthcare unite for swift COVID-19 vaccine logistics

ADQ-backed healthcare procurement company Rafed has reached an agreement with Adu Dhabi-based G42 Healthcare to offer state-of-the-art services including its storage facilities for COVID-19 vaccines.

As part of the agreement, Rafed will supervise the logistics including the management, transportation, and storage of the vaccine doses in the new designated facilities, in line with the requirements and standards of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health.

Rafed’s state-of-the-art distribution center is capable to cater all temperature band requirements, from +20 Cº storage for PPE and medical equipment, to -90 Cº deep freezer capabilities required for the ideal storage and handling of vaccines.

Rafed is also engaging with Abu Dhabi Ports for a joint launch of the largest healthcare and medical supplies cold store distribution center in the UAE.
