38th edition of ISARC to convene in UAE; First time in Arab world

The UAE will be hosting the 38th edition of the prestigious global conference the “International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction” (ISARC) in Dubai, for the first time in the Arab world, from November 2 to 5, 2021.

The UAE secured the right to host the global event during its participation in the 36th session of the conference held in Canada. The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure submitted the hosting bid by joining with the National Program for Artificial Intelligence, the Dubai Tourism Authority, the University of Sharjah, and Geminos Commercial Information Services and Emirates scholar and won the approval from the World Organization for Automation and Robotics in Construction and its member states.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE’s hosting of the premier event confirms the country’s position as a global destination for the world’s most important events and business conferences.

His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, stressed that the country’s hosting of the leading global conference reflects its prime position in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), automation and robotics specifically in building and construction.

“Our hosting of this important event will contribute to strengthening the UAE’s leadership in the construction sector and highlight the advances it has achieved in using the latest innovations in building and construction. This will also allow organizations and companies operating in this part of the world the opportunity to witness first-hand the latest trends and best practices in this field and employ them in creating and providing more innovative solutions that serve the communities of the region and the world.”

During the event delegates including local government, international companies, and universities from across the world will come together to present and discuss future technologies in academic and application prospects towards sustainability, innovation, best practices for technologies and urban development in construction.

The 38th edition of ISARC intends to discuss and review the latest scientific and technological research related to the development of construction methods using robots and artificial intelligence.

Further, the event looks to engage in networking opportunities with the full spectrum of industry stakeholders including developers, architects, contractors, and suppliers. It has wide participation from major international organizations and global companies involved in the field of automation and robotics in construction.
