Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will organize the Sharjah-Europe Businesswomen Forum on 10th May 2022.
According to the statement, the forum will be conducted in collaboration with the European Women Association (EWA).
The Sharjah-Europe Businesswomen Forum is the result of a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the SCCI and EWA, which aims at promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and encouraging women to start their own businesses. Further, it intends to expand cooperation to increase women’s participation in economic sectors.
Through the forum, the SCCI will spotlight the UAE’s and Sharjah’s accomplishments in supporting and empowering Emirati women, developing their capabilities, and providing them with tools for success and leadership.
The forum, which will be attended by a group of Emirati and European businesswomen, will discuss cooperation ways to establish business partnerships in order to strengthen mutual relations.
“It will provide an opportunity for Emirati businesswomen to meet with their European counterparts to exchange experiences and learn about the best practices used in establishing, managing, and developing businesses, as well as to open channels of communication with women’s economic communities in Europe to explore new prospects for joint action,” as per the statement.
The SCCI said that the side meetings will be held during the forum to exchange ideas on how to establish future investment partnerships in the industrial, commercial, and other sectors. The SCCI also aims to highlight investment opportunities, incentives, and facilities, and the inspiring economic business environment Sharjah offers to women and startups.
Furthermore, the Chamber expects the forum to result in a paradigm shift in economic cooperation between the UAE and the European Union, as well as an increase in intra-trade flow, based on the strength of the growing economic partnership in various sectors.
