The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (ADCCI) Chairman Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei has discussed the possibilities of extending economic cooperation between the business communities with Mr. Mohammad Tarid bin Sufian, Ambassador of Malaysia to the UAE.

According to the statement, the meeting was held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s headquarters in the presence of the Director-General of the ADCCI, Mr. Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri.

Mr. Al Mazrouei emphasized the Chamber’s efforts to expand economic cooperation between firms in Abu Dhabi and Malaysia at the meeting, noting that the UAE, in general, and Abu Dhabi in particular, are continuing to strengthen their ties with Southeast Asian countries.

He further highlighted the importance of exchanging ideas to boost the share of national products in Malaysian markets, which serve as a gateway for Southeast Asian countries.

Mr. Al Mazrouei noted that “Abu Dhabi is open to foreign businesses, due to its position as one of the most attractive economies for direct foreign investments regionally and internationally supported by its conducive investment legislation and incentives.”

He further stressed the significance of doubling down on efforts to provide greater facilities to Malaysian investors and to improve communication between Emirati enterprises and investors as well as their Malaysian counterparts.

For his part, the Malaysian Ambassador underscored his country’s desire to strengthen commercial ties with Abu Dhabi and enhance business trips between the two countries. He added that Dubai Expo 2020 acts as a direct economic platform that serves the public interest.

Furthermore, the Abu Dhabi Chamber has received Mr. Mu’izz bin Abdul Sattar Binameem, Tunisia’s Ambassador to the UAE, at the Chamber’s tower to explore more ways to boost the strong relations between the UAE and Tunisia.
