Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has collaborated with the video-sharing social networking service, TikTok to train small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups on the use of the content creation platform for business promotion.
As part of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed, the organizations will launch the Dubai Chamber – TikTok Academy that will conduct a four-week educational program to support 1,000 startups and SMEs to validate and expand their businesses using the short-video platform.
The terms of the two-year agreement enable participants to get access to a dedicated online educational portal that gives training on digital marketing as well as guides the businesses on how to get started on TikTok for content creation, marketing campaigns and optimization. The course will also be accompanied by dedicated business canvassing sessions for startup ideas.
Additional benefits for participants include knowledge-sharing sessions with industry experts, a chance to win prizes for best TikTok video and best campaign, mentorship, and a digital participation badge that will be given after completing the program.

“The SME and start-up community are the backbones of our economy. With that in mind, we are thrilled to partner with Dubai Chamber to launch a specially curated four-week educational program that will not only empower them to express themselves creatively but also to meaningfully engage their audience like never before. Participants can access the online program 24/7 to unlock new, unique ways to engage and grow with the TikTok community and in turn expedite their growth.”
Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber said that the partnership will offer SMEs and entrepreneurs with the most relevant knowledge, tools and support to build their presence on the social media platform and leverage it to grow their brand power.
“This initiative offers businesses far more than just a training program. It also gives participants the ability to learn about best practices in digital business strategies, share knowledge, boost their social media reach and attract new customers,” Mr. Buamim added.
With this partnership, the organizations aim to foster the adoption of best digital practices for businesses, share knowledge and experiences in serving and engaging SMEs.
