Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chilean Federation of Industry (SFF) in Santiago to boost trade and investment between Abu Dhabi and Chile.
The agreement further aims to facilitate broader prospects and foster business communities on both sides. This came on the sidelines of a high-level UAE delegation visit to Latin America, aimed at enhancing trade and investment relations.
The memorandum seeks to strengthen ties between the UAE and Chilean markets, facilitating communication between business communities and commercial and investment companies in both countries. It also aims to open new channels for partnership in sectors of mutual interest such as renewable energy, mining, infrastructure, technology, and so on.
The memorandum was signed by Ahmed Khalifa Al Qubaisi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and Rodrigo Yáñez, Secretary-General of Sociedad de Fomento Fabril, in the presence of officials from both sides.
During the meeting, Al Qubaisi emphasized the importance of signing the memorandum with Chile, highlighting the ADCCI’s commitment to expanding its economic and trade relations with the Latin American region, particularly Chile.
The ADCCI CEO noted Chile’s open economy, diverse resources, and attractive investment environment, making it a distinguished destination for economic partnership and cooperation with the UAE in general and Abu Dhabi in particular.
Al Qubaisi further stated that “the ADCCI seeks to explore untapped export potentials between business communities in Abu Dhabi and Chile through organizing trade missions to identify prospective areas for future cooperation, leveraging the unique potentials and capabilities of both countries.”
