The Department of Finance in Ajman has been awarded the ‘Certified Government Innovative Organization (CGInO)® – Three Stars’ certification by the Global Innovation Institute in recognition of its adoption of international best practices in institutional innovation and operational excellence.

The certification reflects the department’s implementation of advanced innovation management methodologies across its operations and services, as well as its commitment to internationally recognized frameworks designed to enhance institutional performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

The achievement highlights the department’s adoption of an integrated governance framework that aligns innovation initiatives with strategic objectives while supporting continuous development in accordance with global standards.

“This achievement reflects the department’s strategy of adopting innovation as a core approach in developing government financial operations. The certification is the result of sustained institutional efforts aimed at establishing a government financial ecosystem built on innovation and sustainability. Achieving the ‘Three Stars’ rating represents a key milestone in our journey towards institutional excellence and serves as a strong driver for continued investment in innovation capabilities and stronger integration across government entities.”

Abdulrahman Saeed Qasem, Director of the Strategy and Project Management Office at the Department, noted that the accreditation reflects the maturity and integration of the department’s innovation ecosystem through the alignment of innovation initiatives with strategic goals and the adoption of measurable methodologies.

The latest recognition follows the department’s earlier achievement of the ISO 56002:2019 Innovation Management System Certification, which established an advanced institutional framework aimed at strengthening a culture of innovation, encouraging creative thinking, and fostering a work environment that supports idea generation and continuous improvement.

The certification reinforces Ajman’s broader efforts to enhance government efficiency, accelerate digital and institutional transformation, and promote innovation-driven public sector development across the emirate.
