The National Water Company (NWC) has successfully completed two major water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Qassim Region, with a total investment exceeding $13 million (SAR 48 million).
The initiatives are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency, expand service coverage, and provide sustainable, high-quality water and sanitation services.
Expanding water and sewage networks
The projects involved the installation of over 65 kilometers of water networks and pipelines in Buraidah, covering Al-Yarmouk, Al-Rawabi, Al-Ghadir, and Al-Rawaq districts.
In addition, more than 40 kilometers of sewage networks were laid in Al-Rass Governorate, serving Al-Shannana and Al-Sina’iya districts. These enhancements are expected to benefit more than 20,000 residents across the region.
Supporting Saudi Vision 2030 goals
The projects align with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives by improving the quality and reliability of essential services while promoting sustainable water and wastewater management.
NWC emphasized that such infrastructure investments are critical for enhancing the standard of living and supporting the Kingdom’s broader economic and environmental goals.
Encouraging customer engagement
NWC encouraged residents in the newly served areas to request water and wastewater services through its official channels, including the NWC smartphone app and the e-branch platform. The company reaffirmed its commitment to providing efficient, responsive, and reliable services to all customers across the Qassim Region.
By expanding and modernizing water and sewage networks, NWC continues to strengthen the Kingdom’s infrastructure and ensure sustainable access to essential services for communities across the region.
