AD Ports Group has announced the establishment of the Consortium of UAE Shipbuilders, a new industry platform bringing together companies involved in shipbuilding, vessel repair, fabrication, and marine engineering across the UAE.
The consortium includes an initial group of companies from the maritime and industrial sectors, including SAFEEN Drydocks, Premier Marine Engineering Services, Dubai Shipbuilding and Engineering, Al Seer Marine, Dutch Oriental, JOME Engineering, Saifee, Blue Gulf Ship Builders, and MBK Marine Industries, among others.
According to AD Ports Group, the initiative is intended to strengthen coordination across the UAE’s maritime industrial sector and improve collaboration between companies operating across the shipbuilding and marine services value chain.
The consortium is expected to improve visibility over project pipelines, support more efficient procurement processes, and enable coordinated project execution.
It also aims to strengthen delivery capabilities and improve competitiveness across the sector while supporting broader participation by locally based small and medium-sized shipyards.
The initiative will be led by Noatum Maritime, part of AD Ports Group’s Maritime and Shipping Cluster. The company said that the platform is designed to support cooperation between industry participants and create opportunities for smaller companies to participate in larger local and international projects.
