Bahrain and Malta forge stronger investment cooperation

Bahrain and Malta have engaged in discussions to review and strengthen their bilateral relations, with a particular focus on boosting cooperation in investment.

Both countries highlighted the promising opportunities for collaboration in key sectors, aiming to enhance economic ties and explore new avenues for growth.

Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with Silvio Schembri, Malta’s Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, and his accompanying delegation, as part of the minister’s official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry, along with senior officials.

Bahrain and Malta Strengthen Bilateral Relations 

Minister Fakhro underscored the Bahraini government’s strong commitment to enhancing the Kingdom’s diplomatic and economic ties with nations across the globe. He highlighted Bahrain’s strategic efforts to create a conducive environment for international investment, emphasizing the country’s stable political climate, robust security, and a business-friendly ecosystem.

Fakhro pointed to Bahrain’s progressive legal framework, which includes modernized regulations and streamlined processes designed to simplify the investment journey. These efforts offer competitive advantages for investors seeking to establish or expand their operations in Bahrain, positioning the Kingdom as a leading destination for global business and trade.

The Minister also noted Bahrain’s national strategy, which consolidates the Kingdom’s financial and investment standing and supports its ability to attract major global projects across economic sectors.

Further, Minister Fakhro underlined the importance of reciprocal visits and meetings between officials and business communities in both Bahrain and Malta, noting that such exchanges contribute to advancing relations and positively supporting trade and economic cooperation.
