Around 300,000 workers participated in Eid Al Adha celebrations held at 30 locations across the UAE under the theme ‘Our Workers’ Happiness, the Joy of Our Eid’, as part of a nationwide initiative to recognize and honor the workforce.

The Eid Al Adha programs featured competitive and interactive activities, entertainment shows, folk performances, and raffles offering prizes including a car and travel tickets. Gifts were also distributed to workers at celebration venues.

The Eid Al Adha events for workers were organized by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) in collaboration with a wide range of federal and local government entities. Key partners included the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, police headquarters across the UAE, municipalities nationwide, AD Ports Group, and Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs.

Additional participating entities included the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Dubai Civil Defence, the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, Dubai Event Security Committee, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Sharjah Department of Municipal Affairs, National Ambulance, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), and Burjeel Holdings.

Private sector companies across the UAE also organized parallel celebrations for Eid Al Adha as part of the initiative, reflecting their commitment to social responsibility and worker wellbeing. Participating establishments included Sobha Construction, Granada Europe Construction, Millionaire Building Contracting, Advanced Metal Works, Luxury Homes Real Estate, Al Mehwar Engineering Consultancy, DULSCO Group, the Labour Accommodation Authority in Abu Dhabi through eight of its facilities, and Innovo Build.

MoHRE commented that recognizing workers during national occasions and public holidays remains a key priority pursued in partnership with government and private sector stakeholders. The initiative aims to enhance workers’ wellbeing and quality of life, strengthen social inclusion and community belonging, and acknowledge their contribution to the UAE’s economic growth and development.

The ministry added that the Eid Al Adha celebrations underscore the UAE’s commitment to valuing its workforce and reinforcing the country’s position as a leading destination for living, working and investment.
