The Qatar Chamber has discussed ways to expand trade and investment cooperation with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, with a focus on strengthening private sector collaboration between Qatar and Brazil.

The meeting, held in Doha, reviewed opportunities to increase bilateral trade and promote investments across several sectors, particularly food security and the food industry.

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidly, Qatar Chamber Board Member, met a delegation from the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce that included Mohammed Mourad, Vice President for International Relations, and Rafael Solimeo, Director and Head of the International Office.

The two sides also discussed developing a roadmap to support economic cooperation and encourage collaboration between businesses in Qatar and Brazil.

During the meeting, Al Obaidly received an official invitation for Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Qatar Chamber Chairman, to participate as a keynote speaker at the fifth Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum, which will be held in São Paulo on August 25.

The forum is being organized in cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers and under the patronage of the League of Arab States.

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Obaidly said that Qatar and Brazil maintain strong bilateral relations and that Qatar Chamber remains committed to supporting joint ventures and partnerships between companies in both countries to expand trade and investment.

Mohammed Mourad emphasized that this year’s forum will be held under the theme “The Global Economy in Transition – A New Agenda Between Brazil and the Arab Countries.” The event expects to strengthen economic ties and promote cooperation among private sector organizations from Brazil and the Arab region.
