The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Qatar MoCI) has launched two AI-powered virtual assistants as part of its ongoing efforts to promote digital transformation and improve the quality of government services provided to the public.
The launch of the two services, Smart Assistant and Saif, was made during a press conference organized by the Ministry in cooperation with Microsoft.
The Smart Assistant is available through the Single Window platform, while Saif was launched as a virtual assistant on the Ministry’s official website, contributing to a seamless and integrated user experience for various categories of beneficiaries.
In his speech during the conference, Director of Qatar MoCI’s Single Window Department Mubarak Al Khulaifi said that the Smart Assistant service aims to facilitate procedures and expedite the completion of transactions by providing immediate responses to user inquiries and guiding them through every step of their transactions through the Single Window platform, without the need for direct communication with an employee.
Al Khulaifi further noted that the service is available around the clock, enhancing the efficiency and continuity of the service.
For his part, MoCI’s Director of the Information Systems Ahmed Al Kuwari stated that, “Saif represents a qualitative addition to the Qatar MoCI’s digital services system and reflects its commitment to keeping pace with technological developments and user needs. The service was developed using the latest artificial intelligence technologies to provide a reliable and fast interactive experience, enabling users to access information and complete their transactions with ease.”
Al Kuwari further emphasized that these digital initiatives are part of the Ministry’s plan to modernize the digital infrastructure and expand the scope of e-services, contributing to improving the user experience and providing an advanced model for smart government services.
