EDGE and Indra Group have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development and production of next-generation radar systems in Brazil.
This partnership aims to drive innovation and enhance radar technology capabilities in the region.
The signing took place at LAAD Security 2026, being held from 14th to 16th April in São Paulo. The MoU signed in São Paulo brings that growing partnership to Latin America.
The agreement establishes the foundation for a tripartite strategic collaboration, bringing together Indra’s renowned expertise in radar technologies and systems integration, SIATT’s robust industrial and technological capabilities, and EDGE’s global presence in the defense market, coupled with its advanced manufacturing strengths.
This partnership leverages the combined strengths of all three entities to drive innovation and enhance radar system development and production in Brazil.
The initiative sets the stage for the establishment of a new radar production ecosystem in Brazil, promoting the development of sovereign capabilities, facilitating technology transfer, and generating highly skilled jobs within the country’s defense sector.
This collaboration aims to strengthen Brazil’s position in the global defense industry while advancing local expertise and self-reliance in radar technology.
EDGE and Indra’s Growing Defense Collaboration
This agreement marks the latest milestone in the growing strategic partnership between EDGE and Indra, which has progressively expanded since 2023. Their collaboration has already led to joint ventures in Abu Dhabi focused on radar development and electronic warfare.
More recently, the two companies agreed to establish a new manufacturing facility in Spain dedicated to loitering munitions and smart weapons, further solidifying their commitment to advancing defense technology on a global scale.
