Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain has inaugurated a symposium and exhibition on nutrition, bringing together experts, specialists, and representatives from government entities, the private sector, and health partners to discuss the latest developments in nutrition, public health, and innovation.

The event highlights the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to promote healthy nutrition, strengthen evidence-based public health policies, and showcase national achievements and initiatives aimed at improving nutritional health and encouraging healthier lifestyles across the community.

The symposium serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and exploring emerging trends in nutrition, while supporting collaboration among government agencies, healthcare professionals, academic experts, and private sector stakeholders to advance the Kingdom’s public health objectives.

Major discussions at Nutrition symposium

Discussions during the symposium focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in nutrition services, Bahrain’s national plan to accelerate efforts to reduce obesity, innovation and national priorities in tackling obesity, and the future of nutrition in light of digital transformation and expanding public-private partnerships.

Participants also explored how advanced technologies and data-driven approaches can enhance nutrition services, improve preventive healthcare, and support more effective health awareness initiatives aligned with international best practices.

Expo highlights Bahrain’s nutrition initiatives

The accompanying exhibition showcased the Kingdom’s nutrition programs, awareness campaigns, and initiatives designed to promote healthy eating habits and improve community health. Exhibits also highlighted the continued development of nutrition services and preventive health programs that encourage healthier lifestyles and support Bahrain’s broader public health goals.
