flydubai has launched daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Aleppo International Airport (ALP), resuming services to the northern Syrian city after nearly 14 years and expanding its network in Syria.

The new service will begin on 20 July 2026, making Aleppo the airline’s second destination in Syria after Damascus. The route forms part of flydubai’s strategy to strengthen connectivity to underserved markets and expand its regional network.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said that the resumption of flights to Aleppo represents an important milestone in the airline’s network expansion plans.

Al Ghaith added that the new daily service is expected to meet strong demand for direct travel while supporting economic, business, cultural, and family links between the UAE and Syria.

Growing demand for Syrian services

Aleppo has historically served as a major commercial center and remains an important market for business travel, visits to friends and relatives (VFR), and cargo transport.

The new direct service is expected to improve connectivity for the Syrian community living in the UAE and the wider Gulf region by providing a faster alternative to indirect travel options.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, emphasized that the demand for flights to Syria has remained strong since the airline resumed services to Damascus in June 2025.

Obaidalla noted that the addition of Aleppo will provide passengers with greater travel choice and improved connectivity between Dubai and Syria, while supporting higher travel demand during the summer season.

Network expansion

flydubai became the first UAE carrier to resume daily flights between Dubai and Damascus on 1 June 2025. In response to increased passenger demand, the airline has since expanded the route to three daily flights.

The Aleppo service will operate daily from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) under the flydubai-Emirates codeshare partnership, allowing passengers to travel on a single ticket with through check-in and access to the combined networks of both airlines.

The route will be served by flydubai’s modern fleet, featuring lie-flat Business Class seats, Economy Class cabins, in-flight entertainment, onboard dining, and cargo capacity to support passenger and freight demand.

Return Business Class fares start from $2,180 (AED8,000) from Dubai and $2,000 from Aleppo, while Economy Class Lite fares start from $490 (AED1,800) from Dubai and $470 from Aleppo.
