Kuwait Airways has earned the 2026 5-Star Airline Rating from the APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) for providing excellent onboard passenger services, based on objective feedback from passengers worldwide, a recognition that reflects its continued commitment to delivering world-class travel experiences.
The rating, based on verified and unbiased feedback from passengers worldwide, underscores the airline’s excellence in onboard services, comfort, entertainment, and hospitality. This achievement highlights Kuwait Airways’ dedication to meeting the highest global standards in passenger satisfaction and further strengthens its position as a leading carrier in the region and beyond.
Kuwait Airways Chairman, Abdulmohsen Al-Fegaan, attributed the achievement to the dedication of the airline’s staff, its outstanding service standards, and ongoing efforts to ensure passenger comfort.
He stated that the Five-Star rating was determined through unbiased feedback from passengers covering more than one million flights across 600 global airlines, with evaluations based on overall flight experience, in-flight entertainment, food quality, and service excellence. Al-Fegaan confirmed the airline’s ongoing strategy to revamp its services, upgrade operating systems, and achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
Kuwait Airways achieved a strong global standing, ranking 20th out of 109 worldwide and securing 5th place in the Middle East earlier this year, according to the AirHelp 2024 annual report. In addition, the airline received international acclaim for the superior quality of its onboard meals, earning the top global ranking from MoneySuperMarket.
These accolades further reinforce Kuwait Airways’ reputation for excellence and its commitment to delivering world-class service, comfort, and hospitality across its network. Additionally, the airline placed second in the Middle East for flight schedule punctuality, according to Cirium, a leading aviation analytics company. These milestones reflect Kuwait Airways’ steady development and successful performance.
As part of the 5-star recognition, Kuwait Airways was invited to attend the APEX Awards Ceremony in California, USA, where Acting CEO Abdulwahab Al-Shatti received the prestigious award on behalf of the company. Founded in 1953, Kuwait Airways launched its first commercial flight on March 16, 1954. The Kuwaiti government acquired full ownership of the airline in 1962.
