Abu Dhabi-based global technology group G42 has released and implemented a new cutting-edge procurement optimization AI tool developed by its portfolio company, Inception.

Designed to transform enterprise procurement in the MENA region, the new platform, (In)Business Procurement, has already cut sourcing and contract cycles by up to 40 percent, enhancing efficiency and decision-making across corporate operations. G42 becomes the first organization in Abu Dhabi to integrate artificial intelligence into enterprise procurement at scale, setting a precedent for operational innovation in the region.

The platform includes core modules for supplier discovery, autonomous sourcing, contract intelligence, and spend analytics. Functioning as an agnostic AI hub, it integrates seamlessly with existing systems, making procurement more agile and data-driven. The initiative reflects G42 and Inception’s shared commitment to turning AI from aspiration into infrastructure, as part of its ‘Intelligence Grid’ ambition, building smarter institutions, leaner operations, and faster-growing economies.

Vice President of Group Supply Chain at G42, Dr. Asif Ashraf, highlighted the results and said that, “With this solution, we’ve reduced our average turnaround time from three months to ten days. But, it’s not just about speed, it’s about better risk management, improved supplier compliance, and enhanced visibility across our spend categories. The launch is a major leap in the world of Procurement, reflecting the UAE’s vision for implementing AI-native technologies within corporate operations.”

Powered by advanced large language models like GPT-4o and Llama, the platform delivers 7 percent –10 percent cost savings, triples supplier discovery speed, and achieves over 90 percent compliance in contract oversight. The AI tool includes embedded conversational AI, multilingual support, supplier scoring, and risk forecasting, all designed to enable proactive, real-time decision-making.

Maria Sanchez, Senior Vice President of Delivery at Inception, added that, “This is just the beginning. Our mission is to democratize AI across enterprise functions, going beyond automation to enhance workflows within a secure, cloud-native environment.”

The launch of this AI tool reflects G42 and Inception’s shared ambition to transform AI from a strategic vision into operational infrastructure. As part of their broader ‘Intelligence Grid’ initiative, the tool reinforces the UAE’s commitment to building smarter institutions, efficient systems, and future-ready economies.
