Gulf Air has opened registration for a special flight between Dammam and Karachi on 10 March, offering an alternative travel option for passengers affected by the temporary closure of Bahrain’s airspace.
The airline said the special service will operate between King Fahd International Airport (DMM) and Jinnah International Airport (KHI) in both directions, allowing eligible travelers to continue their journeys during the ongoing suspension of flights to and from Bahrain.
According to the airline, the flight is intended exclusively for passengers who meet the necessary entry and exit requirements related to Bahrain.
Travelers wishing to utilize the service must complete a registration process through a dedicated online portal by submitting their travel details and requesting a confirmed booking.
Gulf Air emphasized that the passengers will only be permitted to travel if they receive official booking confirmation after registering. The airline has also advised customers not to proceed to the departure airport unless they have received confirmation of their reservation.
As part of the arrangement, Gulf Air will facilitate the transport of confirmed passengers between Bahrain and Dammam, enabling them to connect with the special flight service. This measure is aimed at ensuring continued mobility for travelers while regular operations remain suspended.
Flights to and from Bahrain are currently temporarily halted due to the closure of the Kingdom’s airspace, a precautionary measure implemented by the country’s aviation authorities. The airline noted that normal flight operations will resume once Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs formally announces the reopening of national airspace.
Passengers are encouraged to stay informed by visiting the airline’s official website or by accessing updates through the Gulf Air mobile application, where the latest information on flight schedules and travel advisories will be provided.
The special flight initiative reflects Gulf Air’s efforts to maintain connectivity and support passengers during temporary operational disruptions while ensuring that travel arrangements continue to comply with regulatory and safety requirements.
