The UAE’s travel platform musafir.com and the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) have joined forces to elevate Hong Kong as a key destination for GCC travelers.
Revealed during Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, the partnership agreement was signed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, Chairman and Co-Founder of musafir.com, and Becky Ip, Deputy Executive Director of HKTB.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Sachin Gadoya, CEO and Co-Founder of musafir.com, and Rosanna Law, JP, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
The MoU marks a key milestone in Hong Kong’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the Middle East region. Under the agreement, musafir.com will launch tailored travel packages that cover flights, hotel stays and curated itineraries, and Arabic-language support, along with a dedicated landing page to streamline the booking process for GCC audiences.
Hong Kong stands out as the 4th most Muslim-friendly non-OIC destination in the Mastercard-Crescent Rating Global Muslim Travel Index 2024. As of February 2025, the region has expanded its Halal-certified dining options with over 160 establishments.
Additionally, Hong Kong offers prayer facilities and luxury-focused experiences under “Travel in Luxe Hong Kong” program, which includes private shopping concierge services, VIP access to Hong Kong Disneyland, and helicopter tours over Victoria Harbour.
