The Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has launched the ‘Oman Maritime Portal,’ a digital platform designed to offer more than 90 maritime e-services.

The Oman Maritime Portal aims to streamline procedures, enhance user experience, and reduce reliance on paper-based and manual processes. The platform also focuses on integrating services with government and private entities.

The platform will deliver secure and reliable digital solutions, and supporting decision-makers through dashboards and analytical reports. In addition, it seeks to strengthen the capabilities of national personnel through training and knowledge transfer.

Oman Maritime Portal launches key services

The portal will be rolled out in six phases. In its first phase, 13 key services have been introduced, including vessel and marine unit registration, issuance and renewal of navigation permits, registration certificates, mortgage and discharge of mortgage certificates, as well as inspection requests.

It is integrated with multiple entities such as the Royal Oman Police, Oman Business Platform, various government ministries and authorities, along with private sector stakeholders.

Enhancing digital maritime services

The ‘Oman Maritime Portal’ serves as a unified electronic gateway for maritime and port services, helping improve procedural efficiency and simplify access for users. This reflects the Ministry’s commitment to digital transformation and delivering high-quality services.

The platform also features an integrated dashboard that enables real-time monitoring of system performance. It provides request statistics by status, key performance indicators, and a list of recent requests, along with filtering and search options. This enhances oversight, improves monitoring efficiency, and supports more effective operations management.
