Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Al Jazeera Media Network, represented by the Al Jazeera Media Institute, in order to enhance Qatar’s media sector.
The landmark partnership aims to foster collaboration, promote media excellence, and support the development of Qatar’s national media capabilities.
The signing ceremony, attended by senior officials from both organizations, marks a pivotal step toward cultivating a new generation of media professionals equipped to meet global standards.
The agreement was formalized by Abdullah Ghanem Al Muhannadi, Director of QMC’s Office of International Cooperation and Agreements, and Iman Al Amri, Director of the Al Jazeera Media Institute.
The strategic partnership is designed to develop national media competencies through tailored training programs, facilitate hands-on experience within Al Jazeera’s state-of-the-art studios and facilities, organize specialized workshops, and offer expert consultations in technical, strategic, and operational domains.
QMC will also receive exclusive benefits across training courses and media productions, aimed at enhancing the creative and professional capacities of its workforce.
The initiative aligns with the rapid evolution of the media industry and Qatar’s ambition to remain at the forefront of regional and international media innovation.
Abdullah Ghanem Al Muhannadi praised the agreement as a “major step toward establishing an integrated national media system,” highlighting QMC’s dedication to investing in expertise and cultivating top-tier media professionals.
Echoing this sentiment, Iman Al Amri expressed strong support for the partnership, affirming that the Institute would “leverage its expertise and resources to empower Qatari media professionals and equip them for the future.”
