Saudi Arabia’s Roads General Authority (RGA) has received the internationally recognized ISO 21502:2020 Project Management Professional Certification, highlighting its adoption of global standards and best practices in the management and delivery of road network projects.

The certification underscores the authority’s commitment to enhancing project governance, operational efficiency, and the delivery of high-quality transport infrastructure across the Kingdom.

The RGA stated that the achievement reflects its ongoing commitment to implementing local and international quality standards across its operations, strengthening project management practices, and driving sustainable performance.

The certification also supports the authority’s efforts to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and quality of road infrastructure while improving the overall experience and satisfaction of road users across the Kingdom, particularly in areas outside urban centers.

Furthermore, the authority highlighted that obtaining the certification strengthens its efforts to improve the efficiency of road project management, enhance the quality of construction works, and support implementation in accordance with the highest global standards and specifications.

Last year, the Saudi Roads General Authority obtained ISO 9001 certification in its Quality Management System for road maintenance. This recognition stems from its efforts to enhance the efficiency of services for road, bridge, and related infrastructure maintenance.

According to the reports, the Saudi RGA achieved this milestone by implementing international and local quality standards, ensuring consistent performance, and meeting the needs of road users in rural areas. Additionally, this certification also ensures the application of global best practices in road quality and safety, highlighting the authority’s dedication to improving the road user experience.
