The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has discussed expanding economic and trade cooperation with the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB), focusing on strengthening private-sector collaboration between Sharjah and Brazil.
The discussions reflect SCCI’s efforts to deepen international partnerships, boost bilateral trade and investment, and create greater market access for Sharjah-based businesses in Latin America, supporting the emirate’s economic diversification and sustainable growth objectives.
Sharjah, Brazil discuss business cooperation
SCCI Chairman H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais received a delegation from the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, led by Mohamad Orra Mourad, Secretary-General and President of International Relations, during a meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters. Senior officials from both organizations also attended.
The meeting reviewed opportunities to enhance business cooperation, facilitate bilateral trade and encourage cross-border investment. It also highlighted SCCI’s services, initiatives and programs aimed at supporting the private sector, strengthening international commercial partnerships and improving business connectivity with global markets.
During the meeting, Al Owais received an official invitation to participate in the 5th Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum, scheduled to be held in São Paulo on August 25.
Arab-Brazilian Economic Forum to boost partnerships
Organized in cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers under the patronage of the League of Arab States, the forum will be held under the theme, “The Global Economy in Transformation: A New Agenda between Brazil and the Arab Countries,” and aims to strengthen economic cooperation and create new partnership opportunities for businesses across the Arab world and Brazil.
HE Abdallah Sultan Al Owais said that the UAE, particularly Sharjah, and Brazil share longstanding economic relations that continue to grow, reflecting a common commitment to sustainable investment partnerships.

The Brazilian delegation praised SCCI’s role in supporting the business community and expanding international partnerships. The delegation commented that the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is working to strengthen and diversify bilateral trade and investment, with the goal of positioning Arab countries among Brazil’s leading trading partners.
They also highlighted SCCI’s network of representatives and regional offices as a key platform for building stronger business links and facilitating sustainable commercial partnerships between companies in Sharjah and Brazil.
Sharjah Chamber to expand global business connectivity
SCCI stated that it will continue implementing initiatives that enhance the global competitiveness of Sharjah’s private sector by providing smart services and business platforms that help companies access new international markets and investment opportunities.
The Sharjah Chamber and the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce maintain a longstanding partnership supported by reciprocal visits and joint initiatives to expand economic cooperation and promote investment opportunities across strategic sectors.
