San Marino seeks to deepen bilateral ties with Kuwait

Kuwait’s Non-Resident Ambassador to San Marino Mr. Nasser Sanhat Al-Qahtani has discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties with San Marino’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation, and Telecommunications Mr. Luca Beccari.

During the meeting, Mr. Beccari affirmed his government’s keenness on promoting cooperation with the State of Kuwait in the economic, cultural, and diplomatic areas, a statement from Kuwait Embassy said.

The minister and the Kuwaiti diplomat explored ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation, increase the trade exchanges, and coordinate the diplomatic stances of both countries at international forums.

Mr. Beccari praised the development in the two countries’ relations that led to the initial signing of an agreement on investment and double taxation protection, stressing the keenness of his government on boosting diplomatic and political cooperation with Kuwait.

The San Marino minister affirmed that “strong relations between San Marino and Kuwait constitutes a bridge for communication and dialogue among Europe, the Arab world and the Gulf region in a way that contributes to enhancing a multi-lateral system and its organizations on common issues and challenges, according to the statement.”

Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Qahtani voiced his pride in the progress in the friendly relations between Kuwait and San Marino which are a firm pillar to enhance cooperation in all domains to serve the interests of the two countries and their peoples.

Further, Mr. Al-Qahtani conveyed greetings of Sheikh Salam Abdullah Al-Sabah to Beccari, affirming the eagerness of Kuwait to deepen and promote bilateral ties with San Marino.
