UAE MoE and Etisalat by e& launch special program for Emirati startups

UAE-based multinational telecommunications services provider, etisalat by e& has launched a special program in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy (MoE) for the Emirati startup registered at MoE’s National Program for SMEs along with discounts of up to 50 percent, as part of the celebrations for 51st UAE National Day.

These exclusive services are part of etisalat by e&’s contributing efforts as one of the key partners of the National Program for SMEs.

The new service will also include a business proposition that will meet the digital needs of businesses including mobility plans. In addition to the package, the startup community will also enjoy a 50 percent discount for telecom and ICT services.

According to the statement, “The program established under the ministry is aimed at providing entrepreneurs and SMEs a platform for them to connect and access several services and initiatives available to bring them immense growth in their journey of success and access to the local market through partnerships between government and private sectors.”

The Emirati Startup program will support the growth of the startup community as well as the entrepreneurial mindset in the country offering an integrated suite of incentives for budding entrepreneurs

“We have always strived to empower Emirati entrepreneurs and companies to build and contribute to the new economic model based on diversity, innovation, and sustainability. This was led by focusing on the competencies and following the directives of the wise leadership that are in line with the objectives and principles of year of the fiftieth and the UAE Centennial 2071. The ministry has continuously worked with all its partners from the public and private sectors here locally and globally, to support the growth and development of Emirati SMEs. This partnership provides a platform allowing them to communicate and benefit at the same time providing them with the best experiences and access to plenty of opportunities.”

Mr. Al Saleh further indicated that the partnership with etisalat by e& will provide Emirati entrepreneurs and SME owners registered in the National Program for SMEs with special access to services and initiatives to enhance the growth and development of their businesses.

“It will also provide incentives that enhance the competitive capabilities supporting the efforts of the Ministry to achieve the country’s ambitious vision of maximizing the contribution of the SME sector and entrepreneur community towards the country’s GDP,” the UAE minister noted.
