The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has been awarded ISO 26000 for Social Responsibility and ISO 21502 for Project Management following international assessments of its operational practices.
The certifications were awarded after a series of assessments conducted by the accreditation body to evaluate the implementation of social responsibility practices and project management standards across ADAFSA’s activities and services.
According to the findings, the Authority demonstrated alignment with internationally recognized practices related to governance, sustainability, institutional efficiency, and community engagement.
The achievement adds to the Authority’s portfolio of international accreditations and reflects its continued focus on strengthening institutional performance, improving governance standards, and integrating sustainability principles across its operations and programs.
ADAFSA stated that the ISO 26000 certification reflects its commitment to social responsibility practices, transparency, accountability, and community participation.
The Authority noted that these principles are integrated across its activities, including initiatives related to agricultural sustainability, food security, consumer protection, and public engagement within the food and agriculture sector.
The Authority also highlighted its ongoing efforts to expand community engagement initiatives through the ‘Auwn’ community engagement and volunteering program.
Regarding the ISO 21502 Project Management certification, the Authority stated that the adoption of the standard supports the development of an integrated project management framework based on modern methodologies focused on governance, efficiency, planning, execution, and quality outcomes.
ADAFSA said that the framework contributes to improving institutional project delivery, enhancing resource utilization, strengthening risk management practices, and supporting strategic planning processes aligned with government objectives related to operational excellence and sustainable development.
ADAFSA noted that the certifications support its broader strategy of reinforcing responsible governance practices, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening its role in supporting food security and agricultural sustainability in Abu Dhabi.
