Emirates Gas, a leading player in the UAE’s gas sector and a wholly owned subsidiary of ENOC Group, has rolled out a new grey security seal for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders distributed across Dubai.

The updated seal officially came into effect on 16 May 2026, replacing the existing yellow seal currently used in the market. The move forms part of Emirates Gas’ ongoing efforts to strengthen safety measures and enhance consumer protection across the emirate’s LPG distribution network.

According to the company, the introduction of the grey seal is designed to improve cylinder security, maintain the integrity of LPG cylinders in circulation, and combat the growing risk of counterfeit seals being used by illegal cylinder traders.

As one of the UAE’s leading suppliers of LPG and gas-related products, Emirates Gas said the latest upgrade reflects its continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational excellence in the energy sector. The company added that the seal enhancement aligns with its broader strategy to ensure that customers receive authentic, premium-quality LPG cylinders that meet stringent safety requirements.

Industry experts note that counterfeit LPG seals and unauthorized cylinder refilling operations pose serious safety hazards, including gas leaks, fire risks, and compromised cylinder quality. By introducing a distinct new seal color, Emirates Gas aims to make it easier for customers and authorities to identify genuine cylinders supplied through authorized channels.

Consumers across Dubai have been advised to purchase LPG cylinders only from authorized Emirates Gas distributors and approved retailers. The company also urged residents and businesses to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or irregular cylinder activity to the relevant local authorities.

The launch of the new grey seal further reinforces Emirates Gas’ position as a key contributor to the UAE’s energy infrastructure and its ongoing focus on consumer safety, product authenticity, and regulatory compliance in the domestic gas market.
