Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s largest aluminum smelters, has won four major National Safety Council (NSC) USA awards for 2024.
Alba received the Perfect Record Award, Occupational Excellence Achievement Award, Milestone Award, and Million Work Hours Award.
According to the company statement, “Our unwavering commitment to Safety continues to pay dividends and earned us 4 NSC’s Milestones. Building on a remarkable 2023, we have recently hit another Safety milestone with more than 16 million safe working hours without Lost Time Injury.”

Alba will be presented with the four NSC Awards at the 2024 National Safety Council Congress and Expo, which will be held in Orlando, USA in September 2024, as per the reports.

Last month, Alba and Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), the largest industrial company in the UAE outside oil and gas, signed a Technology Services Agreement for Alba’s Reduction Line 6.
The agreement encompasses both onsite and remote assistance wherein EGA will provide Alba’s Reduction Line 6 with technical support services, monitoring services as well as operational consultation. The deal also covers operational and process audits, technical training workshops, as well as hands-on operation support among others.
