Gulf Bank has won the Branch Innovation Award and the Gen Z Product Award at the Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2026, recognizing its efforts to advance sustainable banking and develop products tailored for younger customers.
The awards highlight the bank’s strategy of combining digital innovation, environmental sustainability, and youth-focused financial services, reinforcing its position in Kuwait’s banking sector.
The Branch Innovation Award recognizes Gulf Bank’s initiative to modernize its branches into environmentally sustainable, digitally enabled banking spaces across Kuwait.
The redesigned branches feature modern layouts focused on customer convenience while incorporating clean energy solutions, reducing paper consumption, and introducing eco-friendly facilities. The bank said the upgrades are designed to improve the customer experience through integrated digital services that enable faster and more flexible banking transactions.
The Gen Z Product Award acknowledges Gulf Bank’s efforts to develop banking solutions for younger customers, particularly through its red account and red Plus prepaid card.
The red account is a savings product for students and young adults aged 15 to 25. It requires no minimum opening balance and includes a red Plus prepaid card, along with 5,000 welcome Gulf Points for customers who transfer their student allowance.
New customers are also eligible for a KD50 fuel voucher from Oula, in addition to benefits such as daily 50% discounts on cinema tickets and offers at selected restaurants and retail outlets.
Gulf Bank stated that the international recognition reflects its continued focus on innovation, sustainability, and youth empowerment. The bank added that its strategy places Generation Z at the center of its future growth plans while expanding sustainable branch concepts and digital banking services.
