Aster Clinics, a leading integrated healthcare provider under Aster DM Healthcare in the GCC, has rolled out the UAE’s first AI-powered dental bot – Smyl AI, transforming dental care experience.

The dental bot, developed in collaboration with India-based Logy.AI, an expert in AI health technology, is the first-of-its-kind in the region’s dental landscape. Accessible via Whatsapp, Smyl AI provides patients with free, instant dental screenings in under 2 minutes.

The users need to answer a few simple questions and upload three images of their teeth (upper, lower, and front). Smyl AI will then provide users with a free dental health report that highlights potential concerns such as cavities, gum disease, plaque, and stains. For further evaluation, users can easily schedule a consultation with a dental specialist at their nearest Aster Clinic.

This pioneering initiative marks the beginning of Aster Clinics’ Smarter Smiles initiative in the UAE, highlighting their commitment to enhancing dental awareness, enabling early detection and promoting proactive dental care across the UAE.

“Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly vital role in enhancing healthcare outcomes across various medical disciplines. Oral health is a window to overall well-being. Yet, many residents delay dental visits due to fear, cost, or inconvenience. At Aster We believe in moderate adjustments, without using the slogan of “disruptive changes”, With Smyl AI, we are aiming to validate our existing processes and concepts and on the other hand automate quality and precision of care. Our goal is to integrate technology and care—making dental assessments not only more accurate but also more approachable for families, working professionals, and communities across the UAE.”

According to a recent survey carried out in the UAE, 80 percent of participants have dental issues, with 50 percent visiting dental care clinic only when in pain, and only 20 percent making annual dental visits. Smyl AI addresses the need for regular dental screening and education about oral hygiene.

Users can access ‘Smyl AI’ via WhatsApp by visiting the link provided by Aster Clinics. It enables them to choose their preferred language, input personal details, upload photos, and get a free comprehensive screening report.

The dental bot instantly connects users with Aster Clinic’s network of over 30 expert dental specialists, ensuring personalized treatment, enhanced care and data privacy.

This initiative cements Aster Clinics’s position as a pioneer in integrating AI into mainstream dental care. The launch also supports the UAE’s vision to enhance healthcare access and awareness, highlighting Aster Clinics’ dedication to redefining oral health landscape through cutting-edge solutions.
