Bahrain’s Diyar Al Muharraq completes 2nd phase of its sewer network

The largest real estate development company in Bahrain, Diyar Al Muharraq has successfully completed the second phase of its deep gravity sewer network.

The network aims to deliver sewage services to the Mozoon residential project, Era Homes project, as well as the Retail and Marina Promenade at Al Naseem. This achievement comes as part of Diyar Al Muharraq’s vision of creating a fully-integrated, futuristic master-planned city, which offers its residents and communities with the highest quality of infrastructure, facilities, and services.

Further, this step comes in line with Diyar’s commitment to completing all the necessary infrastructure for the future development of the Northern Islands within the master plan, it added.

The successful implementation of the second phase of the deep gravity sewer network marks a vital step in the realm of sustainability, as the self-sufficient sewage network is designed to efficiently redistribute wastewater from the Southern Islands.

By enabling wastewater to be pumped into the treatment plant connected to the local sewage system, Diyar Al Muharraq’s sewage network seamlessly transfers wastewater directly to the ground storage tanks located at the entrance of the city.

The system constructed is completely autonomous, and self-functioning, effectively eliminating the need for transportation by tankers thereby lowering the City’s carbon footprint.
