The leading Thai coconut processing company Theppadungporn Coconut Co., Ltd., the producer of the ‘Chaokoh’ brand, has opened its factory doors to media representatives and business partners, showcasing its internationally certified production standards and advanced food safety systems.

During the visit, the company highlighted its sustainability-focused operations and manufacturing innovations developed over more than 50 years in the industry.

A representative from GCC Business News also participated in the media visit, which offered attendees an inside look at the company’s production processes, quality control measures, and sustainability initiatives.

The showcase underscored Theppadungporn Coconut Co., Ltd.’s commitment to transparency, innovation, and long-term sustainable growth amid increasing challenges facing the global coconut industry.

This factory visit comes as part of THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026, an international trade event jointly organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Koelnmesse.

Kieattisak Theppadungporn, Managing Director of Chaokoh Factory at Theppadungporn Coconut Co., Ltd., said that, “Over 50 years, Chaokoh has been committed to developing high-quality products recognized worldwide. Our coconut milk products remain the core driver of the business, with around 80 percent exported overseas and 20 percent distributed domestically.”

Despite stagnant overall growth in Thailand’s coconut milk export market in 2025, according to data from the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Chaokoh reported a 20 percent increase in export sales, outperforming broader market trends.

The company attributed the growth to its strategy focusing on brand trust and transparency through investments in technology and strict compliance with international environmental standards, factors now increasingly demanded by global trading partners.

During the visit, Chawapol Theppadungphon, Production Manager at Chaokoh Factory under Theppadungporn Coconut Co., Ltd., told GCC Business News that ongoing tensions and conflict in the Middle East have created significant shipping challenges for the company’s exports globally.

He noted that logistics operations have become increasingly difficult, causing issues in scheduled shipping. Chawapol also highlighted that the current situation has led to rising costs for certain commodities and transportation services, impacting overall trade operations.

Chaokoh Combines Quality, Safety, and Sustainability in Production

Beyond food safety and quality control, the company has integrated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into its operations, particularly through circular economy practices aimed at maximizing the use of raw materials.

Byproducts left after coconut milk production, including coconut residue, coconut husks, and shells, are repurposed into renewable biomass energy to power the factory, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move toward a zero-waste target.

The company’s environmental and energy management systems are certified under ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018, and the company also adheres to Thai labor standards TLS8001-2020 and international ethical audit standards under SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit).

“The factory visit shows that Chaokoh is not only a global leader in taste and quality, but also an organization prepared to adapt to change through innovation and responsible business practices. Our partners and consumers can rest assured that every Chaokoh product is rooted in truly sustainable business practices,” Mr. Theppadungphon said.
