Cybersecurity firm emt has partnered with the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) to co-deliver the Cyberspace Leaders Program 2025, aiming to boost digital awareness and skills among youth.

The Cyberspace Leaders Program is being held at the University of Dubai from July 7 to 10. The four-day program targets students aged 13 to 18, offering a series of interactive and educational activities designed to raise cybersecurity awareness and develop essential digital competencies in a hands-on learning environment.

As part of the Cyberspace Leaders Program’s second week, participants will engage in safe browsing challenges, cyber-themed escape rooms, and digital games. Additionally, the event includes awareness workshops aimed at simplifying key concepts and encouraging teamwork and critical thinking.

Amer Sharaf, CEO of the Cyber Security Systems and Services Sector at DESC, pointed out that, “Empowering youth with cybersecurity knowledge and practical tools is a strategic investment in building a smarter, more secure, and resilient digital future, further reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.”

Mo Mobasseri, CEO of emt commented that, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with DESC on this forward-thinking initiative. Introducing cybersecurity in an engaging and practical format allows us to connect with the next generation and spark their interest in digital safety and future career paths.”

The Cyberspace Leaders Program 2025 aims to serve as a comprehensive educational platform that strengthens collaboration and scientific curiosity among students. It also provides them with opportunities to interact with emt’s cybersecurity experts, gaining exposure to real-world insights and potential career paths in one of the world’s most critical and rapidly growing fields.

This joint initiative supports Dubai’s broader strategy to build a secure digital environment and nurture talent equipped to address future cybersecurity challenges, reinforcing the city’s standing as a global leader in technological innovation.
