Dubai has strengthened its position as a global financial hub through high-level discussions with Brookfield Corporation focused on expanding investment cooperation and capital flows.

HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), held a meeting with Bruce Flatt, Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Corporation, a leading global asset and alternative investment management company.

During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities to expand cooperation and deepen investment flows, highlighting Dubai’s strong value proposition for global investors.

This includes an integrated financial system, a flexible and advanced regulatory framework, and world-class digital infrastructure that continues to attract leading international financial institutions.

The meeting also underscored Dubai’s growing role as a strategic bridge between Eastern and Western markets, enabling cross-border capital movement and facilitating long-term investment partnerships.

Both sides noted the emirate’s ability to support sustainable economic growth through transparent policies, investor-friendly regulations, and a forward-looking government vision aligned with global financial trends.

Further discussions focused on Dubai’s continued efforts to strengthen its position as a preferred destination for institutional capital, particularly in sectors driven by long-term value creation and global market integration.

The engagement highlighted the importance of building resilient financial partnerships that support economic diversification and sustainable development.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; and Essa Kazim, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
