flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, has celebrated the launch of its inaugural service to Vilnius, marking the beginning of direct flights between Dubai and the capital of Lithuania.
With the start of operations to Vilnius, flydubai becomes the first UAE carrier to offer nonstop connectivity between Dubai and Lithuania, giving customers more choice and convenience for business and leisure travel.
The new route reinforces flydubai’s growing footprint in Central and Eastern Europe and opens an important new gateway for travel, tourism and trade. The route will operate three times per week, providing seamless links to Dubai’s global aviation hub.
HE Noora Juma, the non-resident Ambassador of the UAE to Lithuania, highlighted that flydubai’s new route between Vilnius and Dubai is not just a flight, but a gateway to greater opportunities for both nations. She emphasized how this connection strengthens ties and opens doors for increased collaboration.
Juras Taminskas, Lithuania’s Minister of Transport and Communications, expressed his satisfaction with the addition of a fourth new airline operating in the country within the past two years. He highlighted that this development underscores Vilnius Airport’s role as a safe, attractive, and reliable partner for international carriers.
The new service by flydubai marks a significant milestone in the country’s aviation sector. Establishing a direct connection with one of the key hubs in the Middle East enhances Lithuania’s global accessibility, broadens connecting flight options, and opens up new travel destinations. This development is expected to benefit both the business and tourism sectors. In its first year of operations, the airline is projected to carry approximately 40,000 passengers.

Customers on the new route will enjoy flydubai’s upgraded Business Class, with lie-flat seats, gourmet dining, and a personalized travel experience. Economy Class passengers can also enjoy complimentary inflight entertainment and meals, enhancing the overall journey.

Beyond improved connectivity, the Dubai and Vilnius route is expected to support stronger economic cooperation, attract visitors seeking new cultural and leisure experiences and create an important new link for Lithuanian travelers to access Dubai’s world-class attractions and onward destinations such as the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Thailand.
Dubai-Vilnius flight details
The new service, part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, offers passengers smoother itineraries, a single ticket, through baggage check-in, and access to a combined network of over 240 destinations. Flights from Vilnius International (VNO) to Dubai International (DXB) will operate three times a week.
Return Business Class fares from DXB to VNO start from $2,043 (AED 7,505) and Economy Class Lite fares start from $604 (AED 2,225). Return Business Class fares from VNO to DXB start from $1,528 (EUR 1,440) and Economy Class Lite fares start from $411 (EUR 390).
