Oman Air has launched direct flights from Muscat to Tashkent in Uzbekistan and Singapore as part of its network expansion strategy to strengthen international connectivity and expand access to new markets.
The airline will operate two weekly flights between Muscat and Tashkent, improving air connectivity between Oman and Central Asia while providing additional travel options for business and leisure passengers.
Ms. Wafa bint Jabr Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, said that the airline is operating two weekly flights in response to demand on the route.
Her Excellency noted that Uzbekistan is an established tourism destination with historical and cultural attractions, including Islamic heritage sites, and offers year-round travel opportunities.
Al Busaidi added that the direct service is expected to support tourism, trade, and investment while strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between Oman and Uzbekistan.
According to Oman Air, the Tashkent route forms part of its strategy to expand its international network and strengthen the role of Muscat as a regional aviation hub connecting Oman with global destinations.
The airline said the new service also reflects growing demand for travel to Central Asia and supports the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, particularly in the areas of tourism, logistics, and investment.

The Singapore route is part of the airline’s ongoing network expansion and is expected to improve travel connectivity between the two countries while supporting business and tourism.
