The tech-giant Google is rolling out ‘Gemini 2.0 Flash’ to all users, providing fast responses and enhanced performance across a number of key benchmarks.

2.0 Flash can be accessed by all users on both the Gemini web and mobile app. The new AI model is rolling out in the Gemini app. Earlier it could only be accessed through the web version.

Building on the success of 1.5 Flash, the new model promises better performance, helping users with everyday tasks such as brainstorming, learning or writing. The blog post has also stated that the Gemini 1.5 Flash and 1.5 Pro will remain available for the next few weeks for users to continue their existing conversations.

Google also announced that in addition to 2.0 Flash, Gemini Advanced users will continue enjoying access to a 1M token context window for up to 1,500 pages of file uploads, priority access to features like Deep Research and Gems and more.

Deep Research is a personal AI research assistant. It explores complex topics and helps users by providing results in a comprehensive, easy-to-read report.

Moreover, the tech-giant has updated image generation in Gemini to the latest version of Imagen 3. This cutting-edge AI model provides richer details and textures. It will follow users instructions with greater accuracy, helping them transform their creative vision into reality.

Compared to 1.5 Pro, 2.0 Flash takes performance to the next level on key benchmarks, at twice the speed. 2.0 Flash also comes with remarkable capabilities. In addition to supporting multimodal inputs like images, video and audio, 2.0 Flash supports multimodal output like natively generated images mixed with text and steerable text-to-speech (TTS) multilingual audio.
