A high-level delegation from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) has visited Munich to strengthen academic and research cooperation with German institutions.
The delegation was led by Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, and included Dr. Fahad Alsaadi, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Professor Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Dean of Scientific Research and Doctoral Studies; and Dr. Shaima Al Harmoodi, Associate Professor at the School of Business and Quality Management.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings with the Bavarian University of Business and Technology and representatives of the Bavarian Industry Association to explore opportunities for collaboration in smart learning, artificial intelligence (AI), scientific research, innovation, and business incubation.
The discussions focused on expanding academic partnerships, exchanging expertise in smart learning and research, and developing joint initiatives aligned with future labor market requirements.
The two sides also reviewed modern education models, university-industry collaboration, and opportunities to launch joint research projects.
Dr. Al Awar presented HBMSU’s academic strategy and programs, highlighting the university’s focus on smart learning methodologies and efforts to align academic education with practical industry needs to prepare students for evolving workforce demands.
Dr. Ahmed Albanna, Ambassador and Board Member of the German-Arab Friendship Association, attended the meetings and supported stronger academic and economic cooperation between the UAE and Germany.
Albanna said that the partnership between HBMSU and the Bavarian University of Business and Technology would contribute to knowledge exchange, innovation, and talent development.
The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between HBMSU and the Bavarian University of Business and Technology to establish a framework for future cooperation in education, research, and innovation.
Dr. Al Harmoodi underscored that the visit provided an opportunity to exchange expertise in innovation, business incubation, and university-industry collaboration and discussed potential joint research initiatives.
