Oman and Türkiye have discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation and investment in housing and urban planning during an official visit by an Omani delegation to Türkiye.
The delegation was led by Oman’s Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, along with representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Khazaen Economic City, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of Omani real estate developers.
The visit brought together government agencies, private sector organizations, investors, real estate developers, construction companies, and financial institutions to explore opportunities for collaboration in urban development and real estate investment.
During the visit, the Omani delegation held more than 20 meetings and field visits to expand economic partnerships, attracting investment and connecting Oman’s major urban development projects with Turkish expertise.
Discussions focused on Oman’s strategic urban development projects, including future cities and integrated residential neighborhoods.
The delegation also outlined the Sultanate’s investment framework, regulatory environment, and incentives available to developers.
The two sides explored opportunities for Turkish companies to participate in urban development projects in Oman, particularly in real estate development, project management, modern construction technologies, and digital transformation.

The meetings also covered investment-related issues, including off-plan property sales, real estate financing, foreign ownership, investment guarantees, registration and classification procedures, local content requirements, and talent attraction.
The delegation also visited a number of mixed-use, residential, tourism, and commercial developments to study Türkiye’s experience in urban redevelopment, waterfront projects, and sustainable city planning.
Ali bin Mohammed Al Lawati, Chairman of the Real Estate Development Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the visit strengthened economic and investment ties between Oman and Türkiye while creating new opportunities for cooperation between the private sectors of both countries. Al Lawati added that the exchange of expertise would support the implementation of urban development projects in Oman.
