The 14th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) will be held on 10-11 September at Expo Centre Sharjah under the theme ‘Communication for Quality of Life’.

The prestigious event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is set to bring together global leaders, experts, and officials to discuss key communication strategies in addressing modern-day challenges.

The IGCF will focus on five main pillars: food security, education, public health, environmental transformation, and the green economy, as essential elements for improving quality of life. These topics will be explored in depth, aiming to drive collective action towards more sustainable and inclusive solutions.

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), which organizes IGCF, highlighted the event’s importance in selecting topics that align with Sharjah’s comprehensive development vision. He stated that quality of life is a collective responsibility that demands smart, effective communication tools to raise awareness and support decision-making.

HE Allay added that IGCF, which has become one of the most important international platforms for discussing communication issues, seeks in its latest edition to exchange ideas and proposals that lead to practical programs that direct collective action toward inclusive and equitable development goals. This aligns with Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to embed quality of life within its government communication initiatives as the main driver of achievement and success.

HE Allay also pointed out that the forum continues, in its 14th edition, to attract leading thinkers, researchers, and practitioners from various parts of the world. He highlighted that the diversity of expertise, specializations, and perspectives of IGCF creates a rich dialogue and gives the forum both its human and professional dimensions.

The IGCF 2025 will also explore how government communication plays a critical role in driving positive social change. Topics will include enhancing awareness of sustainable food practices, encouraging agricultural innovation, and addressing environmental and social challenges.

Additionally, education will be discussed as a long-term tool for developing generations capable of adapting to global challenges, from food security to health and the environment. The forum will also address how government messages and media campaigns can motivate individuals and institutions to adopt more responsible, sustainable lifestyles.

Furthermore, it will explore opportunities within the green economy, creating jobs and promoting environmental justice. The importance of building trust and strong partnerships between governments and societies will be a central theme throughout the discussions.

As one of the most influential international platforms for government communication, the IGCF provides a unique opportunity for leaders from various sectors to engage in meaningful dialogue and explore actionable solutions that contribute to the betterment of society and the planet.
