Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth Affairs, in cooperation with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), has launched the 15th edition of Youth City 2030 at Exhibition World Bahrain, offering more than 250 training programs to equip young Bahrainis with workforce-ready skills and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Youth City 2030, which runs until August 20, targets young people aged 9 to 35 and features 150 new programs across leadership, science and technology, arts and culture, media and digital innovation, and sports. Activities are held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Youth City 2030 was launched in 2010 as an initiative of HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, with the aim of identifying young talent, empowering Bahraini youth and making them the preferred choice for the labor market.

The initiative is a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Tamkeen, delivering specialized training programs designed to prepare young Bahrainis for employment by equipping them with practical skills while discovering, developing and showcasing their talents.

Training is delivered through five dedicated centers covering leadership and entrepreneurship, science and technology, arts and culture, media and digital innovation, and the Summer Sports City. Participants receive instruction from leading trainers and have the opportunity to earn professional certifications.

Highlights of Youth City 2030 15th edition

This year’s edition introduces the first live radio program presented by Youth City participants under the supervision of the Bahrain Ministry of Information. It also includes 16 media programs aimed at developing media and communication skills among Bahraini youth.

The Youth Market also drew strong interest on the opening day following enhancements designed to support young entrepreneurs and provide a platform to showcase their businesses, products and projects.

The initiative aims to provide training opportunities that help young Bahrainis develop skills and enhance their employability while encouraging entrepreneurship. It also seeks to create job opportunities for experienced Bahraini trainers and support youth-led business projects.
