The National Water Company (NWC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has completed the implementation of a major water networks project in Mahayel Asir Governorate.
The initiative has been completed a cost of $25.33 million (SAR 95 million), aimed at expanding coverage and improving reliable drinking water supply across several districts in the governorate.
This project is part of the company’s broader efforts to enhance operational efficiency in the water sector, expand service coverage across the Asir region, and deliver reliable, sustainable water services, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and its commitment to improving quality of life for residents and communities.
The NWC announced that it has begun operating the drinking water system across several districts in Mahayel after completing the installation of more than 226 kilometres of main pipelines and distribution networks, ensuring reliable water services for over 49,000 residents.
The benefiting districts include Al-Khalidiya, Al-Faisaliya, Al-Dars 1 and 2, Al-Nuzha, Al-Shahid, Al-Nazir, Al-Waad, Al-Balad, Al-Badie, Al-Hila, Al-Salamah, and Al-Janadriyah.
The National Water Company has called on customers in the 13 benefiting districts to request water services and manage their connections through the company’s smartphone application or official website, as part of its efforts to enhance digital services and improve customer convenience.
