Oman Airports Management Company has signed a partnership agreement with Singapore’s Changi Airports International to support the commercial development of Muscat International Airport.
The partnership aims to enhance passenger experience, retail services, and airport operations in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The cooperation helps Oman Airports to adopt international best practices and benefit from Changi Airports International’s expertise in airport management, commercial operations, and passenger engagement.
The collaboration contributes to improving operational efficiency, diversifying revenue streams, and strengthening value creation across the airport ecosystem.
The agreement forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Muscat International Airport and reinforce its position as a key aviation hub in the region. It also supports broader national objectives focused on infrastructure development, tourism growth, and economic diversification.
Under the partnership, both sides will explore opportunities related to commercial services, passenger facilities, retail development, and operational improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall airport experience for travelers.
The agreement was officially signed during a ceremony held in Singapore in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
Nasser bin Ahmed Al Sharji, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Airports, said that the collaboration with Changi Airports International represents an important step in exchanging operational expertise and implementing globally recognized airport management practices.
Al Sharji stated that the continuous improvement of the passenger journey remains a central priority for Oman Airports, noting that service quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction are essential components for achieving sustainable growth in the aviation sector.
Eugene Gan, Chief Executive Officer of Changi Airports International, emphasized that the partnership is expected to support the continued development of Muscat International Airport and contribute to strengthening its commercial and operational capabilities.
Changi Airports International is widely recognized for its experience in airport management and commercial development, while Muscat International Airport continues to play an important role in supporting Oman’s tourism, logistics, and connectivity ambitions.
