Oman and Belarus have stepped up efforts to strengthen industrial and investment cooperation, exploring new opportunities to enhance economic ties and expand private-sector collaboration in manufacturing sectors.

HE Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), held talks with HE Andrei Kuznetsov, Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, in Minsk on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in industry, trade, and investment.

The meeting took place as part of the official visit of an Omani trade delegation to Belarus and was attended by members of the OCCI Board of Directors.

The discussions reflected the growing momentum in economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus, with both sides emphasizing the importance of building stronger commercial partnerships and identifying new avenues for collaboration that can deliver mutual economic benefits.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed prospects for cooperation across several industrial sectors, with particular focus on manufacturing and assembly activities.

Opportunities in vehicle production and the assembly of road construction equipment featured prominently in the discussions, reflecting shared interest in developing industrial capabilities and supporting technology transfer between businesses in both countries.

The talks also explored investment opportunities that could encourage greater engagement between private-sector institutions in Oman and Belarus.

The countries highlighted the important role of business communities in driving economic growth and fostering long-term commercial partnerships capable of supporting sustainable development objectives.
