Oman and France have held the first round of their strategic dialogue in Paris, underscoring growing cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations across key strategic and economic sectors.
The Omani delegation was led by HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, while the French side was headed by HE Martin Prince, Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The discussions underscored the depth of the partnership between the two countries and reviewed avenues for enhanced cooperation in economic and investment fields, energy security, culture, education, and training.
Both countries emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration and elevating relations to more advanced levels in line with shared interests.
The dialogue also covered regional and international developments, including the current situation in the Gulf region and its broader implications.
The countries reiterated their commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the most effective means of addressing regional challenges, stressing the importance of returning to negotiations to achieve sustainable solutions and long-term stability.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of France signed an agreement on work permits for spouses of official employees, with the signing carried out by H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy on the Omani side and H.E. Martin Prince on the French side.
The session was attended by senior officials from both countries, including H.E. Ambassador Munther bin Mahfoudh Al-Manthari, Head of the European Department at the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and HE Ambassador Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Araimi, Ambassador of Oman to France.
From the French side, HE Ambassador Nabil Hajlaoui, Ambassador of France to Oman, along with other officials, participated in the discussions.
