Oman’s first and only commercial helicopter operator, AL-Sharqiya Aviation (ASA) will shortly take delivery of its first Airbus H145D3 helicopter, leased from the Milestone Aviation Group Limited (Milestone).

According to the reports, this is not only ASA’s first five-bladed Airbus H145 but also the first to be delivered to a Middle Eastern customer. The new helicopter will boost ASA’s fleet expansion and enable Oman to provide reliable onshore and offshore passenger transport as well as Emergency Medical Aviation Services.

Ireland-based Milestone is also providing ASA with a number of training slots as well as a state-of-the-art Disaster Management Kit to assist them with the phasing-in of this new helicopter type into its fleet. The helicopter will complement ASA’s existing fleet and capabilities affirming ASA’s leading market position in providing commercial helicopter services in the Sultanate.
