Amid fierce competition and rapidly evolving dynamics in Dubai’s real estate sector, Phoenix Homes is emerging as a standout player, redefining what success looks like for agents.

Since its launch in 2020, the brokerage has quickly risen to prominence, reportedly helping more than 15 agents earn over $1 million in commissions. Central to this achievement is Phoenix Homes’ distinctive 80 percent commission structure, offered to every agent on every deal, setting a new industry standard for agent empowerment and earnings.

While closing deals is getting more challenging and margins are getting thinner, Phoenix Homes continues to demonstrate that you can still create a life-changing impact, assuming you have the correct platform and support.

Nathan Kirkham, Director of Phoenix Homes, said that, “Our model was built to reward top performers, not restrict them. We believe that experienced agents deserve more; we afford our agents the necessary tools to earn more, without micromanaging.”

Phoenix Homes Story: Sinclair’s Journey to Success

An excellent example of this success is Sarah Sinclair, an English mother and former finance participant who moved to Dubai for a better life for herself and her family; within 18 months at Phoenix Homes, she became one of the top brokers, had earned over $270,000 (AED 1 million), and was also developing her own personal brand in the luxury property sector.

Sinclair stated that, “I came to Dubai for the lifestyle and opportunity. I did not have a sales background; I simply knew I had to make it work for me and my son.”

Having initially worked with a mainstream brokerage, working on a 50:50 commission split without much ongoing guidance and support, Sinclair found the transition difficult.

“I was basically on my own managing everything: buyers, listings, marketing, even admin. The downside of my last brokerage was that I had no real guidance as I would have liked. So, I would just check what the best performers were doing and teach myself as I went along,” Sinclair noted.

In January 2024, she joined Phoenix Homes and made the decision to work exclusively in the luxury villa market in Dubai Hills Estate, which was a highly strategic decision that changed her career.

“I wanted to have control of my business and offer my clients more with less, and that started with selling high-end villas to a serious and smaller pool of clients. Also, I got to spend more time with my son. I’m not doing this because I want that life—I’m doing it for the freedom,” she said.

Now, working with high-net-worth clients on houses priced between $8.17 million and $13.61 million (AED 30 and 50 million), Sinclair has made $544,600 (AED 2 million) per month in the past. However, she remarked that she doesn’t focus on how much she can make but on being consistent. It’s about results, not chasing the biggest win, this is about creating something that lasts.

Kirkham explained that Sinclair’s success is exactly what Phoenix Homes is designed to enable, noting that, “Sarah epitomizes what can be achieved when talent meets opportunity. She is an extremely hard worker and very motivated and resilient. People see the success, but don’t see the late nights or the nights spent with her stomach in knots about working on commission only. She has put in the hours. She has earned it.”

Phoenix Homes gives agents a totally unique offering: an 80 percent commission, the ability to build their own brand, and support if/when they want it. As this idea takes hold and more experienced agents search for something better than the status quo of traditional brokerage businesses, we will see more and more experienced agents moving to Phoenix Homes.

“For truly top agents, there is just no reason to accept average rewards. At Phoenix, we trust our people to run their own business. That trust gets the best out of people,” Kirkham added.

For Sinclair, the formula is simple. “Be consistent, keep learning, and understand the imperative nature of client trust. Knowledge is power, and clients need someone they can trust. There are no shortcuts anymore. You need to be the expert,” said Sinclair.

As more success stories like Sinclair’s continue to emerge, Phoenix Homes is steadily raising the bar for what real estate professionals can achieve in Dubai. In an increasingly competitive market, the firm’s results demonstrate that with the right model and a clear philosophy, exceptional success remains well within reach.
